Los Angeles Earthquake: Magnitude 4.1 Quake Shakes Orange County Area

YORBA LINDA, Calif. ? Southern California has been shaken by a small earthquake centered in Orange County.

A preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-4.1 quake struck at 8:17 p.m. Wednesday at a depth of about three miles. It was centered eight miles northeast of Anaheim and about 30 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.

The quake was widely felt in the heavily populated area, and those who experienced it are describing it as a single quick, sharp jolt.

There are no reports of any damages or injuries.
